I got it to play bird calls at birds in the woods to get better views of them, but it is great for music too. Picture a boombox with very little bass but quite loud and only three inches long, weighs an ounce or so. Plus it acts as a case for the ipod. It is great for camping, birding, starting a dance party anywhere. Mine still works after 6 months. I can't imagine having a 150 dollar ipod and not also spending the extra 20 for this, what a wasted potential that would be.
